United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Local 112 Endorses Councilmember John Lee for Re-election
Lee solidifies his position as the choice of public safety and first responders with exclusive endorsements from firefighters and police officers
San Fernando Valley, CA - Today, Councilmember John Lee’s re-election campaign announced earning the endorsement of The United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Local 112 (UFLAC). The UFLAC, representing 3,400 firefighters and paramedics, cited Councilmember Lee’s unwavering advocacy for first responders and public safety in announcing their support.
"The United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Local 112 proudly support Councilmember John Lee’s re-election. John has consistently made public safety and our first responders a top priority in the 12th Council District. He is the only candidate with the experience and understanding necessary to help our 3,400 rank-and-file Firefighters and Paramedics ensure the well-being and safety of our communities," said Freddy Escobar, President of United Firefighters of Los Angeles City.
Among the City Council, Lee is well established as one of the City Council’s strongest advocates for first responders and public safety. During his first 100 days in office, Lee was thrust into crisis response for the 2019 Saddleridge fire. Using his years of experience, he expertly coordinated emergency resources and responses to protect the residents of the Twelfth district.
The UFLAC is the latest high-profile organization to back Councilmember Lee’s re-election. They join SEIU 721, LAPPL, County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, business leaders, labor unions, and scores of community leaders.
Councilmember John Lee was first elected to represent District 12 in 2019 and again to a full term in 2020. Please visit councilmemberjohnlee.com for more information
